The Orthodox communities of Bristol and Bath will sing Vespers in our Cathedral to commemorate the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of the Church.

Pope Francis said,

“I would like to invite the faithful of the Eastern Churches to take part in this [Jubilee Year].”

“The Catholic Church… wants to give symbolic expression to its embrace of … their Orthodox brothers and sisters in these times when they endure their own Way of the Cross.” (Bull of Indiction 2025).
